Hi
i`m sorry my german is a bit rusty so I have to write in english.
Last winter i put a 2.9 coswort V6 into my 69`20M, the car is working perfect both as a cruiser and at the drag races.
Back in 69 ford together with May Turbo put turbo chargers on the 20m`s. These cars were approved by TuV, with 188PS. I have tried to get a hold of this documentation, but with no luck. so now I`m hoping someone out there might be able to help me.

Hello Ford 20mCosworth (what a long name...)
There are several people in this forum who own the Turbo kits you are looking for. You should ask for the members 'V6-quäler' and 'P7-Verrückter' they can help you and they also have the necessary documents. I think the problem might be that some of the people in this community are not able to answer in English sufficiently.
As an English teacher I can help you. If they don't answer themselves, I will talk to them and translate.

I appriciate that wery much thank you. It is difficult to get the car approved with the increased horsepower. The only documentation I got is some old tests done by Auto Motor und Sport dating 9/1969. But it is not good enought for the road officials here in Norwegen.

Hi Andy
What is there to say.. The name is Heiki, I live in Norway, neares city is Gjovik.
Got a wife and daughter (8months old) that often come cruising with me in the old ford.
I guess the car is what intrerests you the most.
I bought the car 6 years ago and have been working on it every now and then. All suspension and brake parts have been changed and/or upgraded to 26M, I got a servo from a 26M that I run off the scorpio servo pump that came with the engine. I keept the automatic gearbox from the scorpio as well. I have rebuild the rear axle of the car and run a 75% zf differential. It is lowered and stiffened. The axle is a 4.11 wich works great with the 0.75 4th gear in the gearbox. Used to have the original 3.44 but the car did 85km/h on first gear and it was no good for drag racing. My wheels are the old rs wheels but I have widened them. 7.5" in the front and 9" in the back, got 205 and 235/60/14 which is the widest you can put on an original chassie without getting into trouble. Rebuilt the original gas tank and dropped the fuel pump from the scorpio into it. Stainless steel gas lines and a 2 time 2" to 3" home made stainless steel exhaust, it sounds good. Got a 3" drive shaft with no bearing in the middle. The original oil pan of the 20m had to be rebuidt to fit the cosworth engine. Also the back of the engine bay. This summer i run a 10.04 - 1/8 mile, but that was with the 3.44 rear axle. The car is perhaps a second faster now, can`t wait to try it again next summer. Now I`l start working on improving the handling of the car, but first I have to get it approved by the road officials "as is" before making any more changes to the car. This is why I need the documentation I`m asking for.

Cheers
heiki

Hello Heiki and welcome to our Forum
it look not bad what you have done with your car !
what machine you got ? the 195 PS from the early Cosworth or the 207 PS form the later ?
one question , why you have widened the Rims so Much ? i had at my last P7 Chromewheels in 7x14 front and rear(7" is really enough) with 195/60 14 front and 245/60 14 rear , with the Wide of the Tyres you are Right , with the 245 must be the Back Higered !
can you take Pictures of your car on the Web ?
I have Copys of the informations you need , but i dont Know where

i have seen on ebay someone have the Mayturbo informations for sell : http://cgi.ebay.de/Ford-Capri-Granada-Taunus-Turbo-May-Umbauten-u-Testberi_W0QQitemZ220061638291QQihZ012QQcategoryZ96360QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

maybe the People from the Schwabengarage may Help you ( they have Build and Sold the Mayturbos in the Late 60´s and Early 70´s) .
i know they are real helpfull !

best Regards Sascha

Hi Bandit, thanks for the link. I got the 195PS engine from an 93`, words are the electric wiring on the 207PS engine is a lot more difficult. I used the wiring from an 92 with separat wires for the engine controll.
There is a lot of space in the wheelarches of an original car, and I wanted to fill it all up with rims and tires.. Simply just wanted the widest there is, an so I got.. Looks good. Pictures sent to you`r mail address. Post them here if you like
