this is really interesting. i looked at yur pictures and have to say, although i prefer original condition, your Badewanne (great you already know the german nickname!) looks very cool.
engine with the chromed parts looks like made by "pimp my ride", but the exhaust collector is really well made.
i only wonder how long the vintage engine survives if you push it so far beyond its original specs... why not put a v6 or a v8 in it ?
would not be much more effort i think.

Thank you. To improve this very old and lovely engine is a very serious challenge! I can imagine going very fast with it. It's like a dream with this very old heart. Amazing feelings you know.
I'm sure I will not any problem, because all mobile pieces were made for with race stuff... Of course it's the first step, because I will add a sport oil pump for caring better the engine, and other details.
Of course I never would use it for breaking it!! Always with a lot of care.
Of course a Lima or Cologne, or maybe a Falcon Straigh Six or V8 Y block or 302 could be easier option, I prefer like you original things.
My dream is finish it with all original as I can do it, with a brave heart. (I'm sorry my English isn't so good).
